Attended a screening at women connect tonight. One word about the screening is impossible because it was amazing, inspirational, real, touching, enlightening, connected. I could go on and on. But I will leave this last comment. Thankful to have seen it!

I had the good fortune of seeing Melissa’s wonderful film at The Los Angeles Women’s Film Festival. The Beyond 60 Project is a beautifully crafted movie featuring 10 inspiring women. Each story was unique and I felt like I was able to relate in some way to each one. Melissa did a great job by telling these stories in a way that the viewer, male or female, young or old, would be touched. What a beautiful film Melissa!

The Beyond Sixty Project wonderful documentary in many ways. Great, heartfelt stories and many lessons. While these stories highlighted women over 60, the interviews with the younger generations offered a very unique and interesting perspective. This is extremely well done. Great job by Melissa Davey.

Melissa Davey’s new film is splendidly edited and narrated by a select group of women she interviews. The story develops from their diverse backgrounds and fascinations and paints a picture of passionate lifestyles beyond the age of sixty. Melissa delicately balances her subject’s differences with the underlying common denominator of self-motivation and a devotion to pursuing one’s interest with intense enthusiasm . . . exemplifying that learning never gets old. This film unfolds a beautiful message for adult women and men, as well as, an unknowing younger generation about living a rich life with possibilities, and going on, well beyond sixty.

I had the privilege of seeing this fabulous film at the film festival in New Hope, PA. Melissa’s work was so moving and insightful - hearing the stories of these women, their lives and experiences, was so special. I felt such a range of emotions while watching, and the movie has stayed with me to this day. I would like the chance to see it again, and believe that wider distribution of this film is so important. I have a 19-year-old daughter who was unable to attend but who I know would appreciate the beauty and wisdom of life these women shared. Thank you, Melissa, for such a profound and beautiful piece of work!

I had the pleasure of viewing this documentary at a film festival last week. It is a compelling story of the lives and life changes of 10 women in their sixties. It is a story of the human spirit of these women...compassion, persistence, endurance and even fun as they live their lives to their fullest. It is difficult to believe this is the film makers first movie, realizing a long-term dream of being a filmmaker after leaving a long term, successful corporate career. Melissa is able to capture the personalities vividly on film and through interviews. The stories are riveting, the editing and sound are outstanding. Heartwarming. A must see.

This is an incredible film highlighting the lives of some incredible woman. Each had a story that was unique, engaging, and impressive. These stories were told in a way that may me feel that these women were in the same room as me. I am so honored to have “met” them through the eyes of Melissa, the filmmaker.

I recently saw the Beyond Sixty Project at the New Hope Film Festival. It was well made and quite inspiring. Of the movies I saw at the festival, this one’s the easiest to recommend.

Melissa, the filmmaker, has an incredible insight into the internal makeup of women especially those entering the most beautiful journey of their lives. She skillfully weaves a story that enriches all lives. A must see for all ages.

The Beyond Sixty Project is an inspiring movie. Its appeal is not just for older women (and men) but for younger audiences too, as shown in Melissa Davey’s interviews with young women. Highly recommended.

I saw The Beyond Sixty Project a few weeks ago at the New Hope PA Film Festival. This is a skillfully directed and edited film about ten women who take on new challenges after the age of sixty. The stories include a woman who swam the English Channel, one responding to a hostage situation earlier in her life and a woman who became the voice of Siri. The stories are all interwoven in categories that reflect different parts of their journeys. The women are gifted speakers and storytellers, drawing you into their lives. Melissa Davey, the director and producer of the film, appears at different times as an unobtrusive but helpful questioner. At the start and close of the film Melissa engages the perspective of some twenty- something women on the stories as well as on the question of aging. This is an important and moving film that highlights and celebrates the value that these (and many other) women bring to our society.

Melissa’s work was so moving and insightful, describing the experience of hearing the women’s stories and emotions they inspired.

The stories are riveting, the editing and sound are outstanding.

Just watched this today. Storytelling at its finest. Hollywood you should give anything she wants to continue producing documentaries. Bravo, bravo, bravo.

I loved the words from Peggy Bradnick in the Beyond Sixty Project movie, featuring older women who have surmounted challenges to become great and notable humans on this planet.

Peggy’s harrowing story was one of my favorite parts of the film. If you haven’t watched Beyond Sixty yet, make sure you do!

Kudos to Melissa Davey on her groundbreaking documentary, Beyond Sixty, in which women over 60 tell their life stories and defy ageism and sexism and inspire us all.

Beautifully told story. Anyone with a mother or grandmother will love this look at ten remarkable women doing incredible things and showing us all that there is life beyond sixty.

I love how you were able to shine a light on these women and their stories of resiliency and determination. It is an inspiration for all generations.
